A Trembleur is a long turned wooden object consisting of very thin sections (only a few millimetres) and thick sections (typically 5 centimeter).
Traditionally an exercise done by masters in woodturning to showcase their skills and craftsmanship. Tool control, tool sharpening, understanding of the wood, forming the featured heavy shapes that will pose great risks of breaking the trembleur. Everything has to come together in this simple looking beautiful shape. A real testament to the skill of the turner.
Other than that, I love their aesthetic and like them very much as a decorative piece in the living room, or the office.
Note: this is a ‘made to order’ piece. This means that there will be a longer delivery time (usually, 2 weeks). The positive thing about made to order pieces is that wood types, wishes for shapes etc. can be discussed.
